Foster-Miller has created a military robot called SWORDS or the Special Weapons Observation Reconnaissance Detection System. With a hefty price tag of around $225,000 the military knows these are badass enough to spend the cash(especially if it is saving soldiers lives). In 2007 three units were deployed in Iraq, despite rumored recalls, they are still in service and are able to carry a wide variety of weapons; M16, 5.56mm SAW M249, 7.62mm M240, .50cal M82 Barrette rifle, a six barreled 40mm grenade launcher.
